About Us

Owners, Katherine Pfeffer Pross and Jack Pross have been picture framers and professional artists for almost 40 years. Their work is displayed throughout their gallery, Elizabeth's Bloomers Gallery, with hundreds more on hand.

Katherine is an award winning professional visual artist. She has sold paintings across the country. Her work hangs in restaurants, corporations, hospitals, banks and even Bed and Breakfasts! She frequently does and enjoys commissioned projects or portraits. Katherine's passion is geared towards full equality and representation for women, especially in school history textbooks. She has painted several important historical women's portraits. And can boast that she has two works in the White House.

Jack is also a visual artist. He likes to explain his thought process by saying, "sometimes I'm a painter who sculpts, and other times I'm a sculptor who paints." His paintings are created in acrylic and his sculptures are primarily steel, but at times he includes glass, wood or paint, sometimes all together! Jack's style is unique and reflects his 50's and 60's suburban New Jersey upbringing.

Although Jack rarely sells his paintings and sculptures, his work is on public display and owned by several collectors nationwide. He loves to do commissioned projects, whether painting or sculpture.
Jack and Katherine believe that framing is part of the "total effect" of a piece of art, whether it is an inexpensive poster or a Rembrandt painting, "the framing completes the object, it is the icing on the cake!"

Elizabeth's Bloomers Gallery has original oil and acrylic paintings, etchings, watercolor paintings plus steel and clay sculptures from miniature to very large work all created by the owners, Katherine Pfeffer Pross and Jack Pross.
